Wanted to share some quick results I’ve see in my own vehicle when using AMSOILs PI Performance Improver Gasoline Additive. These results are completely unscientific, but show some real-world results.
I recently purchased a 2010 Dodge Journey. After driving it for a month or so I was getting about 19.8 mpg. This is solely based on the dashboard mpg indicator. Early this week, I put in a bottle of the Performance Improver Gasoline Additive with a full tank of gas and now after a week of driving and a tank and half of gas, I’m averaging 21.1 mpg that’s over a 6% increase.
To me this is very impressive. I drive about 25,000 miles a year. Doing some quick math assuming $3.50 per gallon of gas on average, I find that without the improvement, I’ll be spending $4,419.19 on gasoline. With the new average, I’ll be spending $4,146.92. A savings of $272.27!
Expand those savings out to a family who has 2 or more vehicles, and suddenly those savings seem even more significant.
Let’s say your company vehicles (perhaps a taxi company or police department), average around 50,000 miles per year. And you have 20 of them on the road. That’s a savings of $544.54 per vehicle or $10890.80 for your entire fleet for the year. The potential savings is great.
Of course results may vary but the results are real (I’ve seen them myself) and I’ve only touched on the fuel economy and haven’t even mentioned the reduced emissions, smoother operation and restored power that you’ll achieve when the fuel deposits are cleaned.
If want to see some more scientific field studies, here is one to start with (http://www.amsoil.com/lit/G2543.pdf).
